The Economy and the Fair
October 16, 2008
The News & Observer discussed how the economy is not going so well and how it affects the fair. The fair is not so concerned about how the economy is going, but how the weather will be on the fair days, because this crisis is not going to contain the people’s joy to come to the fair and have fun. The weather is a concern to the staff and the people coming to the fair, whom are expecting a dry weather. The fair is even adding another half day in case of any rain, to make more money, and to reach their goal of having 1 million people come to the fair.
Another concern is the rising prices of food, because it has been about a decade since they raised the prices, for example to a get a full meal at the fair last year it was about $20 but now the price is $27, but the people will come anyway because not even this great crisis the U.S. is going through is going to stop the people from coming to the fair and have the best time of their lives.
